  A Study on Students'Achievement Goal Orientation in
  Higher Educational Institutions and the
  Corresponding Guidance Strategies

  AbstractAchievement goal orientation is the stable tendenc y of purpose of achi evement behavior in one's cognition, emotion and behavior, which influences grow ing and development of students in higher educational institutions.This resear ch adopts Achievement Goal Orientation Scale as the research instrument and test s 303 college students and 105 university students in local higher educational i nstitutions. This research finds out that there are differences of students withdifferent majors, grades and self-estimation in four dimensions of achievementgoal orientation. And then problems of students from the aspect of achievement g oal orientation are analyzed and the corresponding guidance strategies are propo sed.
