Abstract Objective: To explore characteristics and correlat ion between attribut ive style and coping style in juvenile delinquents. Methods: 137 juvenile delinq uents and 139 normal teenagers are selected to take questionnaires on attributiv e style and coping style. Results: (1) There is significant difference in all th e 4 factors of attributive style between the experiment group and the control gr oup(p< 0.001). (2) In coping style, there is significant difference in 5 coping strate gies—paying attention to issues, paying attention to emotion expression, sense- rationalization, behavior- physiology and denial-oppression between the experime nt group and the control group. Conclusion: Juvenile delinquents' attributive style tends to be external, unsteady, partial and uncontrollable. For juvenile delinq uents, there is significant correlation between attributive style and coping sty le including each factor in them, and two factors can effectively predict juveni le delinquents' coping style, namely in-outside factor and part-whole factor.
