偶然也有偶然的美

不知从何时起，喜欢上几米和他的《向左走，向右走》，那清新自然的笔触，将一个隐隐忧郁的城市童话细细铺开，然后把故事讲述给我们……真是很喜欢这种偶然中充满必然的感觉，看着注定相遇的人们，终于迎来了温暖温情的结局，自己便会露出满意的笑。
可不是吗！在我们的生命中，有多少个相遇与错过的瞬间呢？在偶然与必然之间，我们都期待自己的爱情美丽如梦，浪漫如诗。很久前曾在网上读到过一篇同样清新的小文，告诫我们生活中不可忽略的细则，结尾就这样写道：请相信一见钟情。
所以，我从来不去质疑故事的合理与否。
我只想，给咖啡加点糖，给平静加点幸福！
剧情介绍：
10年前的圣诞夜，乔纳森遇见了萨拉。两个陌生人在人潮涌动的纽约街头、假日疯狂的购物潮中偶然相识，虽然当时都各有异性朋友，却忍不住被对方深深吸引，就这样，两人在曼哈顿的夜色里漫步了一整夜。这究竟只是一次巧遇，还是逃脱不了的缘分呢？清晨来临的时候，乔纳森提议互相交换联络方式，但萨拉却希望把下一刻交给命运来安排。就这样，两人把姓名电话留在一张钞票和一本旧书上转身离去，然后听凭天意。然而，两个人的命运自那次邂逅以后似乎就再也没有了交点。十年后，住在纽约的乔纳森成了一名制片人，而远在旧金山的萨拉则做了心理辅导员。双方都婚期在即，却都对多年前的那段浪漫际遇无法忘怀。
究竟冥冥之中这两个人是否还能走到一起呢？他们又是否真的会顺从命运的安排呢？

场景：
在一间大购物商城里，乔纳森和萨拉同时看中了一双羊毛手套。正在两人争相购买之际，手套险些被一个后来走过的人拿走。也许是缘于一份微妙的情愫，两个人忽然默契地形成了同一“战线”，说服了欲拿走手套的人，并一起将手套买下。镜头拉伸，故事就从这一刻开始。

Jonathon: I don’t know if we made any sense. (1)
Sara: I think we did, but we scared the Jesus out of him. (2)
Jonathon: You were pretty fierce. This is quite a coffee. (3)
Sara: but I’m serious about the check.（4）That’s the least I can do.（5）
Jonathon: Well, thank you, but see,（6）now I have to go find something else for my girlfriend.
Sara: Oh, they’re for your girlfriend.
Jonathon: Yes.
Sara: No, I can’t accept them.
Jonathon: You have to.（7）Otherwise you want to treat. (8) Let me tell you something, this is the ultimate （9）blended drink. (10) Where did you find this place?
Sara: I first came in because of the name, Serendipity, one of my favorite words.（11）
Jonathon: It is, why?
Sara: Such a nice sound for what it means. （12）A fortunate accident. I don’t really believe in accidents. I think fate is behind everything. (13)
Jonathon: Oh, you do？
Sara: Yeah.
Jonathon: Fate is behind everything. Everything is predestined.（14）We don’t have any choice?
Sara: No, I think we make our own choices. （15）But fate sends little signs, and how we read signs decides whether we’ re happy or not.（16）
Jonathon: Little signals, fortunate accidents. Lucky discoveries, like Columbus and America. (17)
Sara: Yeah, or Fleming discovering penicillin. (18)
Jonathon: Fleming is that his name? Or Jonathon with gloves?
Sara: I don’t know that one.
Jonathon: You don’t know the story? It’s an old folk tale. Classic. （19）Our hero Jonathon goes out in search of black gloves, and in a perfect act of serendipity,he runs into a beautiful attractive English girl with a boyfriend.(20) You have a boyfriend, right?
Sara: Yeah, I do.
Jonathon: That’s what I thought.
Sara: And you have the glove lady.
Jonathon: Yes, I do.

讲解（1） make sense:有意义
例句：It doesn’t make sense.这件事情不合理/我不明白

用法: quite a coffee: “这里的咖啡真是不错”/This is quite a nice day“今天的天气真不错”
讲解（4） be serious about:很认真的，很严肃的看待某事。be serious about the check: check是“账单”的意思，文中的意思是“我执意要买单”。
讲解（5）the least:最少的，That’s the least I can do 这是我唯一能做的，至少也让我做点什么吧。
讲解（6）but see?我们都知道see 是“看，知道，明白”的意思，比如“I saw him on the street”可以译为“我在街上看到了他”而文中“but see?”是一句口头语“你看……”你看，我得为我女友另选礼物了……需要补充的情节是“两人同时相中了羊毛手套，乔纳森把它让给萨拉，萨拉又将其中一只留给乔纳森。而后，两人分隔天涯。可红尘轮回，他们终于再续前缘。
讲解（7）have to do sth:不得不做某事
例句：I have to do my homework now.(我现在必须得做作业了)
I have to do this, otherwise, I cannot make up for it. （我不得不这么做，否则，就无法弥补了）
讲解（8）treat有“治疗”的意思，在这里解释为“对待”。
用法：He treats me well.(他对我非常好)另外，“treat”还有“请客，做东款待”的意思，比如：I will treat you for a dinner this time(这次我请你吃饭，我来买单、付账)。在故事中，乔纳森建议，萨拉如果对手套事件过意不去的话，不妨喝完咖啡买单。从当时的话语中，一种微妙的情绪已经悄然流露。两个陌生人的生活轨迹，因为一个疯狂的购物日交汇到一起。虽然各有各的情感依托，但是当两个孤单的灵魂忽然相遇的时候，谁又能抵挡得住不坠入爱河呢？
讲解（9）ultimate是“最终的，极，非常的”意思，这里着重强调咖啡的美味。
讲解（10）drink做动词讲是“喝”的意思，比如“Wanna something to drink?”（想喝点什么吗？）做名词时drink是“饮料”的意思，比如“I’ve got some drinks for you”（我为你准备了饮料）。“blended”是“混合”的意思。
讲解（11）当萨拉被问知是如何发现这家咖啡厅的时候，她回答“I first came in because of the name, Serendipity, one of my favorite words.”我最初来这里是因为这家咖啡厅的名字，“缘分天注定”，这是我最喜欢的单词之一。
讲解（12）Such a nice sound for what it means.直译为“它的含义发出悦耳的声响”，我们可以理解为“这个词令人回味无穷”。其实仔细看看我们就会发现，这个表达中几乎没有什么生词，可见，真正地道的表达并不意味着用什么高深的词汇，如果我们平时注重积累，it’ s also like a piece of cake for us(即使是复杂的句子，对我们来说也是小菜一碟)。
讲解（13）fate是“命运”的意思，behind是“在……之后，在……的后面”。
“fate is behind everything”指的是“一切皆由命运操纵”。萨拉一直深信命运操纵一切，可在影片最后，萨拉却取消了原本的婚约，决定主动追求真爱，拥抱幸福。例句：Do you believe in fate? (你相信命运吗？)
讲解（14）destine 是“注定”的意思，比如在电影《阿甘正传》中，就有一句经典的对白：I was destined to be your mom.我命中注定做你的妈妈。在这个单词前加上“pre”就变成了“命里注定”的意思。“Everything is predestined.”可理解为“一切自有定数”。“choice”是“选择”的意思，而“We don’t have any choice”表明“我们别无选择”。
讲解（15）choice:选择，make choice：做出选择，make one’s own choice做出自己的选择。例句：Don’t look at Tom, you have to make your own choice.(别老看着汤姆，你得自己做个选择)。又如：I will not regret, because it is my own choice.（我不会后悔的，因为这是我自己做的选择）。“选择”的动词是choose,我们可以这样运用：Let me make the choice, I would like to choose this book to read.（让我自己来做选择，我选择看这本书）。
讲解（16）send sign 传递的讯息，发出的信号
