  The Western Psychological Studies on Social
  Anxiety Disorder in Children and Youth
  AbstractApart from depression and alcohol dependence, thesocial anxiety disor der (SAD) is the third most common psychiatric disorder. Nevertheless, there areonly a few studies done on social anxiety disorder in children and youth in ourcoun try. This article reviewed the literature of SAD in youth in the western countri es. It also suggested some future directions in research. This aimed to providea reference for future studies in our country.
